Prescription for a Happy Marriage

By Jennifer Stewart Prescription for a happy marriage: one cup of tea or coffee, to be taken each morning before rising. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? And yet every year thousands of couples head for the divorce courts, or make pre-nuptial agreements in the expectation that the marriage will fail. One factor contributing to this breakdown in relationships is the greater stress caused by uncertainty about job security, financial worries, political instability and so on. Constant worry about money, fear of redundancy and continual pressure to devote more and more time to work can leave a marriage stretched to breaking point. It’s no co-incidence that the age when most divorces occur is also the age when couples are beset by other concerns such as establishing a career, raising and educating children and paying off a mortgage. Hectic Lifestyle Leaves Little Time for Each Other Even if you feel relatively secure financially, living in the first year of the new century creates pressures unknown even a decade ago. You’re now expected to be available to the whole world — 24 hours a day — via the Internet, mobile phones, answering machines and lap-top computers. One of you always seems to be working late or bringing work home; you feel obliged to give your children all the opportunities their friends have so you ferry them to music lessons, sports training and the movies with their pals. As a modern couple, you also have your individual sport or hobby commitments; you may be involved in volunteer work with a charity group or the children’s school; coaching the basketball team or serving in the school canteen … and so it goes. And that’s not even taking into account running the house, the garden, the menagerie of pets … and then there’s your family and friends … It seems as if you never have time to draw breath, to slow down, to talk to each other. While the causes of the resulting stress may be largely out of your hands, the way you react to it is completely up to you. Stress is a bit like steam in a kettle, it builds up until it finally blows the lid off, unless the pressure is relieved. You can let pressure build up in your life until you finally “blow your top” or, you can take positive action to release it. THE EARLY MORNING CUPPA By setting your alarm clock (or body clock) a half-hour earlier, you can give yourselves time to spend together, uninterrupted. You now have the best part of the day to spend with the person you love! Take it in turns to be the one to get up and make the tea or coffee, and make it into an occasion by having special mugs or cups that you only use for this first cup of the day, or choose a special blend which you only have in the morning — better still, make a herbal tea. Select something light and refreshing so that you’ll have a spring in your step when you get up. This is your time together — to natter about nothing in particular or to make your grand plans. Lying in bed, sipping your tea and knowing you don’t have to fly out of bed as soon as your eyes open, relaxes you without any effort on your part. You don’t need to practice any special breathing techniques, because you’ll be breathing slowly; you don’t need to concentrate on relaxing different muscle groups - they’re already relaxed. GETTING UP Sometimes, you’ll be so relaxed that you may be tempted to stay just a few minutes more. Don’t do it. Don’t spoil the mood you’ve created for yourselves by lying in and then having to rush through the morning. Your stress levels will go up and you’ll be blaming each other for being late. Turn on the radio when you wake up and make it part of your routine that you get up after a particular broadcast; it’s always easier to have an external trigger like this, and it saves one of you having to be the “bad guy” who decides it’s time to get up. LASTING BENEFITS By easing yourself gently into your day, you avoid a great deal of stress. The extra time you’ve made not only allows you to spend an extra precious time together, it also relaxes you for the day ahead. Whenever you feel yourself getting tense through the day, take a deep breath; remember how relaxed you felt lying in bed sipping your tea; smile; try to recapture the actual physical feeling of relaxation and smile again when you realise that you have that special time to look forward to again tomorrow! Make Sure You Know How Much Your Tummy Tuck Cost You

By Robert H There are many ways to avoid tummy tuck cost such eating a good diet and sticking to an exercise program. However if the only option open to you is surgery, you will find that Tummy Tuck Surgery Cost can be anywhere between $2500 and $8000 depending on your situation and the surgeon’s experience. Mini tummy tuck surgery costs are a lot less than the more invasive major tummy tuck surgery and the cost of this procedure is demonstrated in these costs. Of course, the cost of the procedure is always a major factor for most people, but there are many variables that factor into that cost rather than just the price tag that the surgeon gives you. It is good advice to shop around for a surgeon and ask as many questions as possible particularly on the subject of cost. Ask the surgeon to be specific and tell you exactly what the cost include what they dont include and where the dollars are actually being spent. Doing this will ensure that there are no shocks or extra unexpected bills after your surgery. To further reinforce this you may want to ask questions like are there any additional fees for the anesthetist? Are follow up appointments covered in the initial cost? Do the fees cover any related drug or prescription costs? Should any unforeseen complications arise during surgery will these costs be covered? The Majority of prospective patients who delay a tummy tuck procedure do so mainly because of the cost factor. The cost is relatively high and usually between $2500 and $8500 as we have already mentioned but it should not be forgotten that this is major surgery and no major surgery is cheap. The overall cost will depend upon a number of factors which will include the reputation of the surgeon and his team you decide to hire. The actual length and complexity of the procedure you choose along with any ancillary costs associated with the tummy tuck surgery. If you are serious about having this procedure you should make sure you ask about every possible eventuality regarding the operation and the cost of it beforehand… If you or someone you know is seriously thinking about undergoing a tummy tuck procedure, then the one major thing to remember is it is major surgery and no one should go into this type of surgery without knowing the full facts about the surgery. As you can see tummy tuck costs require a fairly substantial financial commitment so you should definitely make sure it is the right choice for you before going ahead with the surgery. How To Get Flat Abs Fast - 3 Steps To Success

By Deon Plessis Having that perfect set of abs is something that most of us aspire to. In a society where there is an ever increasing emphasis on the way we look, there definitely is a shift in people’s perception of their own bodies. The images being portrayed by the media seems to set the new standard for what ‘beautiful’ looks like and if anything, this is a really high standard. One of the most sought after ‘items’ then seems to be flat and toned abs. For men this has become somewhat of a ’status symbol’ while for women it is something to be admired. How then can you get flat abs fast? Although there are many strategies and techniques for how to get flat abs fast, very few actually work. It seems quite ironic to me that having flat and toned abs is such a sought after thing. When you consider the foods that are popular in our culture and how our popular past times focus on ’static’ activities like watching TV or playing games then it is no wonder that 99% of the population have the exact opposite of flat abs. Foods that are high in fat and sugar are incredibly hard to digest and it tends to stay behind in our bodies in the form of fatty deposits. Certain areas of our bodies are more susceptible to fat ‘clogging’ together and for men this tends to be around their waist and belly area while for women it is around the waist and glutes. So, the first step then in how to get flat abs fast is to address your diet. If you are in a hole and you want to get out stop digging. Stop eating fatty foods that will only make the ‘ring around your waist’ bigger. Realize that underneath that layer of fat you actually do have a flat and toned set of abs. You simply need to remove the layer of fat, and apart from your diet the only other thing you can do is to exercise. The common misconception amongst people is that to develop well toned abs you have to do loads of sit-ups and crunches. Not entirely true. Although crunches and sit-ups (in all it’s variations) play a very important role in toning and building the muscles, your overall fitness and body tone is equally important. By combining your cardio vascular exercise with abdominal strength training you will get flat abs faster than just doing one or the other. Your abdominal muscles are a very important muscle group. Running, swimming and cycling are all great cardio exercises that will also work your abs. Taking time to stretch is also very important in toning your abdominal area. You should stretch for at least 15 minutes after exercise and the more toned your abs become the more efficient the muscles will become at burning fat. The third step in how to get flat abs fast is a bit more controversial but one that I firmly believe in. It’s about body posture and doing static exercises of the abs. Your abs play a very important part in keeping your body upright. When you are crunched over while you walk (like most people tend to do these days) you are actually relaxing your abdominal muscles. When you are upright and straight your abdominal muscles are active and extended, so even while you are sitting or walking your abs are active which helps with toning and strengthening. In the same vain you can use what is called ’static contraction’ to tone and strengthen your abs. When sitting at your desk or lying in front of the TV, you can exercise your abs by tightening them for ten seconds and then relaxing for 30. Do 20-30 repetitions of this every day and even when you are walking you can do the same exercise to enhance the efficiency. These three steps for how to get flat abs fast is the proven steps that work. Although there are many ‘tools’ and ‘gadgets’ on the market that promise flat abs in 7 days get real! It takes time and hard work. If it didn’t everybody would walk around with perfectly toned abs. Eat right, exercise and tone. Do the hard work and you will see the results in about 6 to 8 weeks and as you do, this will inspire you to do more and before you know it you will have a perfect set of flat, perfectly toned abs. Top Ten Ways to Avoid a Married Man

By Tammy Davidson Being single I always have the tendency to meet married men. They are unattainable yet very attractive. They possess all the qualities you look for but unfortunately they are taken. The problem is when they aren’t getting the hint. Top Ten Ways To Avoid Married Men 1. Pretend your a lesbian so he thinks your into chicks instead of men. 2. When he knocks on your door, come dressed in old clothes and do not take a shower. He may be repulsed by your appearance. 3. If he is not a smoker, light up a cigarette, so instead of turning him on it turns him off. 4. Keep all lingerie and other items locked up. Do not mention see through lingerie he may want you to model it for him. 5. When he comes to your house or place of work imagine having a big mac instead that way it will cut your cravings if you are into him. 6. If he is making several excuses to come see you tell him you have a date or your seeing your hairdresser. 7. If he does plumbing for a living and has to fix your toilet or sink make sure your mom or child is there so he can’t come onto you. 8. My advice is just run. He may see the dust blowing faster. 9. Always make a quick exit that way instead of falling all over you he may end up on the ground. 10. If he likes to stare at you just wear extra tight clothing so he can get a piece of what he is missing. I find if I do this stuff I always avoid a married man. Quite frankly I prefer if they are single than you don’t have any worries. Keep in mind if a married man is coming onto you. He may not be telling you the truth. I know a really nice married man I have a lot in common with him, but he likes to hit on everyone and everything. He is only looking for a little fun. I think that is a sure sign to stay away. I think he is a lot of fun and a nice person but that is as far as I would go. BEWARE OF MARRIED MEN They should come with a sign or a stamp on there heads that way you know whether they are married or just not wearing there wedding ring. Labels ladies, always make sure you get to the bottom before you get to the top. I am a single parent, mother of one. I enjoy sports, cooking, photography and music. I love to garden and make homemade jewelery. http://www.tdsuccess.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Tammy_Davidson http://EzineArticles.com/?Top-Ten-Ways-to-Avoid-a-Married-Man&id=70268 ge money personal loans personal loan calculaters long term payday loans guaranteed cash advances in georgia

What is Manic Depression?

By Matt OConnor Manic depression, also known as bipolar disorder, is a kind of mental or mood disorder that is characterized by an extreme shift of one’s mood in a period of time. The shift of mood can be from an overly low feeling or depression into extremely high emotion. The change from mania to depression or depression to mania is called an episode. Episodes of depression or mania vary from person to person. One episode can last for a few days to several weeks or months before changing into another emotion. Sometimes the emotional transition doesn’t immediately follow after an episode (depression or manic); sometimes, transition can happen after a few weeks, months or years. There are people who can experience predictable emotional patterns; and likewise there are some who do not. A study made in 1973 revealed that among 400 patients observed with manic-depressive episodes, only 2 did not experience recurrence. Meanwhile, some studies revealed that Lithium reduced the risk of recurrence by about 75 percent. In general, a person can recover from bipolar disorder without undergoing treatment; however, a person can recover more quickly if treatment is given. There are 4 types of bipolar disorder according to The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR). Each has its own characteristics and each is used to diagnose the level of damage that the illness inflicts to the person as well as the kind of treatment to be applied: 1) Bipolar I requires the person to experience at least one or more mixed or manic episodes. The Bipolar I patient is not necessarily depressed, although, many who are diagnosed with this category suffer from depression as well. 2) Bipolar II is characterized by one or more episodes of severe depression and hypomania. Hypomania’s presence is merely to establish the bipolar condition from unipolar depression. (There are criteria to determine if the person is experiencing hypomania.) 3) Cyclothymia To determine if the patient is suffering from this kind of depression, he or she must have several episodes of hypomamia, combined with several episodes of depression (without reaching the full criteria of clinical depression). 4) Bipolar Disorder NOS (Not Otherwise Specified) The patient should not fall on any of the 3 criteria given above but still showing some signs of bipolar disorder. Symptoms of depression include severe sadness that results in crying and tearfulness, isolation and boredom, sensitivity to negative feedback and rejection, lack of concentration, anger and irritability. They may also experience pessimism and hopelessness, changes in sleeping and eating patterns, physical pain such as headaches, back pain, muscle and joint pains, problems with the digestive system and lethargy, restlessness, a lack of self-confidence that could be the cause of low self-esteem and thoughts of death or suicide Symptoms of mania include excessive anger over simple things, quick thinking and association of things that may or may not be related to one another which can lead to poor judgment. A significant change in physical energy, extreme irritability, change of mood from normal to extreme, overreacting to stimuli, and high levels of mania (including aggression, hostility, irritability, sexual drive, paranoia, volatility, and psychosis), There is no particular cure for bipolar disorder that is why it is so important to know its types and symptoms because armed with that knowledge, it can be managed properly. The emphasis however is to treat the emerging symptoms and prevent the further damage through psychotherapeutic and pharmacological techniques. The author of this article, Matthew OConnor runs a site dedicated to the latest news and developments in depression treatments, particularly dealing with the crucial question what is manic depression?. Pond Plant Filter (Veggie Filter) - How To Design One

By Carl Strohmeyer Plant or Veggie Filters are very popular with many pond keepers. I have been using this method for pond filtration for a few decades (long before the term veggie filter became popular). There are two basic methods (that I am aware of), the more popular method nowadays is a separate pond filter. This is not my preferred method, however both work very well (I will discuss each latter). Any plant with a good root structure that grows fast and has the majority of their leaves above water is a good candidate to start with. I recommend water iris for their strong root structure, fast growth, great nutrient absorption, and a great place for baby fish (fry) to hide feed and grow. I prefer my plant filters within the pond as these look more attractive in my opinion and give the fish fry a place to hide (except in the case of the waterfall or cascade plant filter). The area of the veggie filter should be relatively shallow as well to force water movement over and through the roots There are many other excellent plants as well such as Sweet Flag, Parrots feather, Bluebells, Umbrella palm, Papyrus, & bull rush. Make sure these types of plants (plants with roots in water and leaves above) are planted in an area of good, but not strong water movement. This ensures that they will do their job as plant filters. VEGGIE FILTER METHODS: [1] Corner; Place your plants in a shallow corner of the pond with -2 rock under the plants to allow the roots to better establish themselves, do not use sand or soil. The water depth is best if the roots are barely covered by water. Add a slow to moderate (200- 600 gph) separate water supply (a diversion from your main pump or a separate pump) to these plants make sure the water passes through the plant roots, not just over them. [2] Constriction; Similar to above, place your plants in a shallow corner of the pond with -2 rock under the plants to allow the roots to better establish themselves, do not use sand or soil. The water depth is best if the roots are barely covered by water. In this case, allow the water to move from one pond to the other thru this constriction area in a manner that maximizes root exposure to the water flow (again, not high a flow) [3] Waterfall; In this method the plants are in the waterfall or cascade area of the pond. Again place your plants in a shallow corner of the pond with -2 rock under the plants to allow the roots to better establish themselves, do not use sand or soil. The water depth is best if the roots are barely covered by water. This method can be combined with other methods. The downside to this method if used by itself is it does not give the fry a place to hide and often water flows and water depths are harder to control for maximum efficiency, however this method still works especially when used in combination. [4] Separate Veggie Filter; This is a more popular method lately, although my least favorite. In this method you would use a container such as a tub or small pool and pump water into these Plant Filers then water flows back into the main pond. I have seen nicely set up separate veggie filters where they are actually constructed into the ground or into a terrace, these do look better than the tub methods (these are more similar to the waterfall method). My problem with this method is similar to the waterfall method in that flow around the roots and water level (just above the roots) is hard to control to maximize benefits of the plant root structure. You also loose the benefit of a place for fry or breeding adults to hide as in the first methods. CONCLUSION; A Veggie or Plant Filter is an excellent compliment or even stand alone pond filter depending on the volume and filter (root) area and exposure of the plant filter. A compliment to a simple Hydro Pond Filter is what I would recommend. The Hydro Pond IV can be connected to your Pump as a pre filter (these are rated up to a 1500 gallon pond), then a UV Sterilizer in line (best if used at slower flow rate) would further compliment this system. As for the pump, I recommend the ReSun King Pumps as they are a good combination of state of the art impellers (ceramic shaft, stainless steel sheath) and value. Simple Steps To Help Your Dry Skin

By Louise Forrest Normal skin is kept supple by the skins natural production of natural oils and water held within the cells. Oily skin is the result of your skins oil glands working overtime. So, what is dry skin? Your skins natural oils create an effective barrier to keep moisture in the skin and toxins away. When this barrier is broken, moisture cannot be held within the skin as efficiently. Age brings a natural breakdown to this barrier because our oil glands do not produce as effectively as they once did, so aging skin tends to be drier than more youthful skin. Extremely youthful skin (like that of babies and young children) is also prone to dry skin because the oil glands in this skin have not been fully developed. Genetics also play a part in the moisture level of your skin as can environmental factors like: air conditioning, central heating, chemicals, detergents, excessive water contact, soaps, sun, and wind. Of course, there are many other environmental factors that affect your skins dry tendencies, but these are the most common. Dry skin is best alleviated through routine use of good organic moisturizers or emollients. Lotions are usually not very effective because they contain alcohols and actually result in drier skin. Because many man made chemicals have a tendency to irritate the skin and often cause further dying, we recommend that you use certified organic moisturizers or moisturizers that you have made at home, using organically grown ingredients. Buying organic ingredients keeps toxic chemicals like pesticides and man made fertilizers away from your skin. You may want to check out some of the recipes we have in our Organic Skin Care section. You should use moisturizers at least twice a day (sometimes more often) and always apply moisturizer after contact with water. This should be applied to damp skin in order to help trap moisture and alleviate dryness. Another good way to help your skin is to soak for 15 to 20 minutes in a warm bath that has 2 cups of magnesium sulfate in it and apply a good moisturizer. The magnesium sulfate does wonders for skins rejuvenative abilities and dead skin cells are easily removed after such a soak. Magnesium sulfide also draws toxins out of the skin, helping keep the skin free of irritants. These characteristics combined with a good moisturizer create an excellent combination for relief of dry skin. Soaking like this 3 times per week will help keep your skin free of toxins and dead skin cell build up. You should always use mild, non irritating cleansers. Harsh soaps will only further dry your skin. For extremely dry skin, you may need to use emollient soap substitutes, which cleanse the skin without use of detergents. Do not be surprised to find that your emollient substitute for soap does not lather. Because of the lack of detergent in these, they will not lather but they do cleanse the skin. Bath oils are very useful in helping dry skin; bubble baths are not. Bubble baths use detergent to create the bubbles and detergents have a drying effect on the skin. Bath oils are an excellent way to trap moisture from your bath close to your skin, helping to alleviate dryness. When you get out of a bath with bath oil, smooth your damp skin all over, then pat dry so that you do not rub the oil off of the skin. Take care with fragranced oils, natural fragrance is generally non irritating, but many man made fragrances are irritating do to man made chemicals in them. One example of a natural fragrance which can be used in bath oils is lavender essential oil, which is also very relaxing. However, essential oils are actually concentrated extracts of a plants natural juices, they are not necessarily oils, so the use of essential oils should be for fragrance, not as a bath oil alone. When choosing products, remember that thicker is generally better for dry skin. Thicker products are generally able to stay on the skin for longer periods of time, allowing a slow absorption of conditioning agents into your skin. Moisturizers and emollients should always be in a cream or ointment form for severe dry skin. By taking care in choosing skin care products, you can give your dry skin some relief, but you should also consider your diet in order to replenish fluids from the inside. Everything that we have given you here is a form of relief to dry skin, but none of it is permanent. To experience long lasting relief, you will need to do it from the inside through the foods you eat and the amount of water you take into your body. What Is Amortization?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Arseniy_Olevskiy]Arseniy Olevskiy Understanding what amortization is can be very important when you are purchasing a home for the first or the tenth time. In fact, if you do not know what you are signing on those home loan papers, you shouldnt sign them at all. Yet, learning about this and other features of the home loan is not hard to do. It’s not a foreign language, just a language that you need to learn in order to purchase a home. The good news is that you will learn most of what you need to know about the mortgage you are about to sign right here on the web. Amortization is the factoring of a lump sum payment over time. For example, in the home loan, you will work with a lender that will pay for your home in full to the seller. The funds are secured by the home and you must pay them back over the course of time, as defined in the terms of the loan. It is the distribution of the funds into smaller, installment payments over the course of time. When you purchase a home this will be figured out in the schedule that is provided with the homes loan paperwork. In an amortization style loan, the funds of the installment payments are broken into pieces that are then applied to the principle and the interest of the loan. In other types of payment systems, this is not the case. But, in such things as a home loan, the payment is broken into how much will be paid to the principle of the loan and how much will be paid on the interest that is due on the loan. In home loans, the amortization schedule will show you how much of the loans monthly payment is going to the principal amount as well as how much is going to the interest that is on the loan. In home loans, this amount is broken down unevenly. In the first years of the loan, the homeowner will pay back a large amount of money each month to the interest side of the loan and a smaller to the principal. As time goes on, this will equal out and then shift to being more repayment to the principal than the interest. This is defined as to how much for each month in this schedule of payments made. In order to determine just how this will happen over the course of time, you will want to use a mortgage calculator which can be found on the web. These are free of charge to use and have no obligation tied to them. In any case, by punching in the information to the loan that you know, such as the interest rate, the terms and the principal amount borrowed, you will learn just how much interest versus principal will be on the loan. This can also be helpful in allowing you to compare interest rates, compare the amount of monthly payments as well as compare the various terms of the loans you are applying for. Amortization is a very important factor in determining just how much you will pay for your home.
